Dagger
A cinematic adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth soliloquy in a fully realized virtual world.
The mission
Dagger is an adaptation of the famous dagger soliloquy from William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, directed and performed by Francis Ghersci, and created using Unreal Engine 5 with custom Metahumans. Designed to bridge the worlds of film, video games, and mixed reality, the project was developed as part of an internal initiative to build a true transmedia pipeline—allowing content to transition seamlessly from linear storytelling to interactive and immersive formats.
I was responsible for environment lighting, clothing design, fire effects, asset placement, and building the entire virtual environment from the ground up. The result is a highly realistic, atmospheric cinematic piece that merges theatrical performance with cutting-edge real-time technology.
